Hwange Don Bosco Technical College Joins Don Bosco Green Alliance

The Hwange Don Bosco Technical College and Secondary School  has joined the global Don Bosco green alliance an initiative which will help create an environment that is safe and caring for all life on the planet.

Don Bosco Green Alliance is an international collective of young people from the Salesian Family institutions, who contribute to global environmental action.

The Don Bosco Green alliance said the movement is meant to build up a new generation of environmentally committed citizens.

  “We are convinced that working together as Salesian Family Institutions across the world, we can make a substantial contribution towards bettering the environment, while at the same time building up a new generation of environmentally committed citizens and leaders” says Green Alliance.
Hwange Don Bosco institution is committed to combat water pollution, ensuring clean water and sustain a plastic free environment.

Meanwhile, Father Bruno from Hwange Don Bosco said it is everyone’s responsibility to protect the environment and the protection of the environment starts at grassroots level. “In the present circumstances of Africa, the information and knowledge of maintaining clean water, stopping pollution and maintaining a clean environment is essential to the education system. Therefore the children at schools are supposed to be oriented in different ways in taking care of the environment where they live in” says Father Bruno
